PARIPPU CURRY

Ingredients :
Masoor dal - 1 cup
Onion - 1 small or half from medium chopped
Tomato - 1/2 chopped
Green Chilly -1 or 2 accordingly
Potato - 1/2 cup chopped
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Salt - as needed
Water - 1 cup or as required
Mustard seeds -1/4 tsp
Cumin/Jeera -1/4 tsp
Oil -2 tsp
Garlic - 1 or 2 pods crushed
Curry leaves - few

Preparation :
1. In a pressure cooker add masoor dal,onion,tomato,green chilly,potato,turmeric powder,salt and water altogether.

2.Close the lid andCook until 2 whistles in medium flame and switch off.
3.In another pan, heat oil .

4.Splutter mustard seeds,add cumin then crushed garlic and curry leaves.
5. Pour over cooked dal

Serve with rice !
