Nenthrapazham - 4
All purpose flour/ maida - 1 cup
Rice flour - 1/4 cup
Egg - 1
Cardamom powder - 1/2 tsp
Sugar - 3-4 tbsp
Salt - as needed
Water - as needed
Oil - for deep frying
1.Peel and cut the plantain into two and slice them vertically to thin pieces.
2.In a bowl,mix maida, rice flour, egg,sugar,salt. Add cardamom powder to it.
3.Add water accordingly to make the batter ( not too thin or thick ,plantain must be coated well)using a hand mixer.(if loose add maida )
4.Heat oil in a pan.
5.Add the pazhams to the batter and coat well with the batter.
6.When the oil is hot, slowly dip the slices and fry both sides till lightly brown.
7.Remove and keep in kitchen tissue to remove excess oil.Serve hot !!!
