Meat masala/ meat filling for snacks
Meat minced - 500 g
Onion - 5 medium sliced not chopped
Ginger - garlic paste - 2 tbsp
Curry leaves - 1 twig
Pepper powder - 1 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Garam masala powder - 1 tsp
Salt - as required
Oil - 4 tbsp
Corriander leaves chopped - 1/2 cup
Preparation:
1.Wash the meat well and drain.Using a pressure cooker,cook minced meat by adding enough water,salt,1 tsp red chilly powder and 1/2 tsp turmeric powder .(May b upto 5 whistles on medium flame and wait till pressure releases)
2.In a non stick pan,heat oil and add the sliced onion and saute till translucent and lightly brown in colour.
3.Add the ginger - garlic paste,curry leaves and salt needed for the onions(coz already meat is cooked with salt )and saute for few more minutes and add pepper powder,garam masala powder and turmeric powder.
4.Drain the meat and add it to the prepared masala and cook for another 5 minutes for the flavours to infuse.
5.Add the chopped corriander leaves ,mix and switch off.
6.When cool,divide the filling and put into several small freezer bags and freeze for later use as stuffing for different snacks.
Notes :
Can use shredded chicken in place of meat.
Can add green chillies too(which i dint use coz of my kids)
Inshallah ,i will prepare with chicken and post later.
