QUICK AND EASY GOBI FRY



Ingredients:
Gobi - 1 small
Water
Salt
Oil - for deep frying

For the batter:
Maida/ all purpose flour - 1/2 cup
Cornflour - 1/4 cup
Pepper powder - 2 tsp
Salt - as needed
Red colour - 1/2 tsp
Water - as needed to make a thick batter

To garnish
Onion- 1 medium
Garlic pods - 2 crushed
Red chilly - 3 cut into half
Oil - 3 tbsp
Corriander leaves - a few chopped

Preparation:
1. Seperate the gobi from stem into pieces as u desire.clean in water.In a saucepan add water ,salt and add the gobi pieces and boil.

 2.When it boils,switch off and strain in a strainer.

3.In a bowl,mix maida,corn flour,pepper powder,salt ,red food colour  along with water to a thick paste.

 4.Add the strained gobi to the prepared batter and mix .

 5.Heat oil in a kadai,


6.When hot,add the gobi,one by one to the oil and deep fry  by turning over each side is brown and done.

 7.Remove to kitchen tissues and keep aside.

8.In another pan, add oil and add the chopped onion and saute for few minutes till brown.
 9.Add the crushed garlic and red chilly and saute for 1 more minute and switch off.
10. Place the gobi in serving plate and top with the above fried onion mix and chopped corriander leaves.
